Cookie policy
Reviewed 12 October 2026. This page describes small browser files and similar storage used by Kniton. Cookies help a website remember a choice; they do not turn an editorial visit into a personal advertising profile.
1. Essential operation
The site can be read without accepting optional cookies. A cookie choice may be stored locally so the banner does not return on every page. The key is named cookieChoice and its intended lifetime is 12 months.
2. Session information
Hosting infrastructure may use short-lived session identifiers to route requests or protect forms. These normally expire when the browser session ends or within 24 hours. They are not used to infer health interests or sell audience segments.
3. Analytics
Kniton may use privacy-conscious aggregate analytics to understand page performance, approximate reading patterns and broken links. Analytics are not enabled through the current consent script unless the implementation is updated and the visitor has a suitable choice.
4. Preferences
Preference storage can remember display choices such as a dismissed banner. Preference data is designed to last no longer than 12 months. Clearing browser storage removes it, although the banner may appear again.
5. No advertising cookies
Kniton does not place behavioural advertising cookies through the editorial pages. Advertising relationships, if introduced, must be described on publicidad.php and assessed against applicable consent and platform requirements.
6. Third parties
Fonts, hosting, security and analytics providers may process technical request information. Their own cookies and policies may apply when an external service is loaded. We keep third-party scripts limited and review them before publication.
7. Browser controls
Most browsers allow visitors to inspect, block or delete cookies. Blocking essential storage may cause the consent banner to reappear, but the articles remain readable. Browser help pages explain the controls for each device.
8. Consent record
The accept or reject choice is stored only to respect the visitor’s decision. A rejection does not imply a negative judgement and does not prevent ordinary access. Consent can be changed by clearing site storage and revisiting the page.
9. Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly use cookies to identify children or build profiles about them. Guardians can contact Kniton if they believe information was collected in error.
10. Changes and contact
This policy was first recorded on 1 July 2026 and reviewed on 12 October 2026. Questions about storage or consent may be sent to Kniton at the address on contact.php. Material changes will receive a new review date.
The cookieChoice value records only the visitor’s consent or rejection state and is not intended to contain a name, email address or health-related detail. A short-lived session identifier, if present, supports request handling and is normally removed at the end of the session or within 24 hours. Preference values are reviewed for a 12-month lifetime so that a returning reader is not repeatedly asked the same question.
If aggregate analytics are enabled in a later release, the implementation will describe the provider, purpose, event categories and retention period before collection begins. Optional measurement will remain separate from essential operation, and a visitor’s choice will be respected until it expires or is withdrawn. Browser deletion, private browsing and network-level controls can affect how the banner or preferences behave.
Third-party resources such as hosting, security, fonts or measurement services may create their own technical records. Kniton does not control a third party’s independent cookie behaviour, so visitors should review the provider’s notice when an external service is loaded. We review scripts before publication and remove tools that are not necessary for the stated purpose.
Questions about cookie use may be sent to Jalan Cendrawasih 25, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta 12120, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia, or +62 857 7149 2038. We aim to acknowledge requests within seven business days and resolve preference or consent questions within 30 days. This policy was reviewed on 12 October 2026 and future material changes will be dated clearly.
The cookieChoice value records only a preference such as accepted, declined or not yet selected. It is not designed to contain a name, email address, message content or health-related detail. A short-lived session identifier, when required by hosting or form protection, is normally removed at the end of the browser session or within 24 hours. Preference storage is intended to last no longer than 12 months and can be removed earlier by clearing site data.
If aggregate analytics are introduced, the page will identify the provider, the event categories collected and the retention period before optional collection begins. Optional measurement will remain separate from essential operation and will depend on an appropriate visitor choice. A browser’s private mode, content blocker or device setting can prevent the banner from saving a selection, so the question may appear again. These behaviours do not mean that Kniton has created a personal profile.
External services such as hosting, security, font delivery or measurement may set technical storage under their own names and policies. Kniton does not control independent third-party storage after an external service is loaded, but scripts are limited, reviewed and removed when their purpose is no longer clear. International processing can occur where a provider operates outside Indonesia; access limitation and contractual safeguards are considered before use.
